Supporting Environmental Conservation, PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk Plants 900 Tree Seedlings in Pantai Linuh Village

ASAM ASAM - As part of its commitment to environmental conservation and reducing the impact of climate change, PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk (TCPI) Asam Asam site carried out a tree planting program involving 900 fruit tree seedlings in Pantai Linuh Village, Kintap District, Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan. This initiative is part of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental and Social Responsibility (TJSL) programs.

The planting activity was conducted in collaboration with the Government of Pantai Linuh Village and the “Sumber Rejeki” Farmers Group Association (Gapoktan). The planting site, located about 60 km from the Asam Asam site office, was selected based on recommendations from local agricultural advisors, taking into account the soil contour conditions suitable for the growth of various types of fruit trees.

The symbolic handover of tree seedlings and the planting event took place on September 13, 2025, at the Pantai Linuh Village Hall. In his remarks, Khaerul Imam, a representative of PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk from the Asam Asam site, stated that the activity is a tangible form of the company’s commitment to supporting Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) programs, as well as an active contribution to reducing environmental emissions and pollution.

“This tree planting program is a reflection of our responsibility towards the environment. We believe that small steps like this can create a significant long-term impact, both for environmental sustainability and community well-being,” said Khaerul Imam.

The Head of Pantai Linuh Village, Mr. Subagio, also expressed appreciation for PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk’s greening initiative.

“The planting of these fruit trees not only helps improve environmental quality but also holds potential as a new economic resource for residents. We invite the entire community to care for and maintain these plants together as a legacy for future generations,” he stated.

The “Sumber Rejeki” Gapoktan also conveyed their gratitude for the company’s support of environmental conservation activities and expressed hope that similar initiatives would be adopted by other parties.

Through this program, TCPI reaffirms its commitment to actively contributing to sustainable development and promoting harmony between the company’s operational activities and the preservation of the surrounding environment.
